Ryan built his first restomod at age 7. It was a riding lawnmower souped-up with random stuff he found lying around. It even had a custom paint job. Before that, he was known to drive his dad’s Case Tractor around the farm, although his dad had to work the clutch while he managed the stick since he was too little to reach both. In his teens, Ryan was a founding member of the Green Mountain Outlaws, a motorcycle stunt group that was twice invited to perform in Greece. His mother, saint that she is, remains alive and well.

Ryan attended Clarkson College as a mechanical engineering major. He was quickly scooped up by the Edison Program, which aligned his career path with that of GE and wind turbine design.

The 30’s coincided with a calling and Ryan left GE to start Young at Heart Customs. Not that any of this is new to him; he’s been designing and building things since he could stand.

There’s no one who understands machines better than Ryan. He was fascinated by them before he could use a fork. While he is now confident eating with silverware, his love of machines has not changed. He’s been taking them apart and putting them back together again since his pudgy little hands were up to the task.
